A free, interactive panel discussion
to address your anxiety and trauma-related questions
from a Biblical and whole-person perspective.

Church of the Covenant
319 Blau Road, Hackettstown NJ 07840

Elizabeth and Lydia will:

  • Present on God's design of the nervous system, and how it operates in our physical, emotional, and spiritual lives. Touching on both normal development and anxiety disorders (including trauma).

  • Answer submitted questions, and field spontaneous questions as time permits.

  • Provide resources (books, podcasts, websites) for further equipping.

  • Integrate information from Biblical, psychological, neurological, and biological perspectives.

We’ll approach the topic, and your questions, with humility, acknowledging that we are “fearfully and wonderfully made”. Yet there is much that we can know because our God is a God of order and wisdom. Certain principles of emotions and behavior generally apply, as well as the amazing design of our bodies, brains, and nervous systems. For example, the studies of neurology and attachment theory support such Biblical principles as, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is older he will not depart from it.”

Our approach to Christian therapy may be another helpful starting point for Christians who are curious about mental health:
