Dr. Elizabeth Pearce, PsyD
Licensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Elizabeth Pearce, PsyD, NATC, CCTP is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and certified in Narcissistic Abuse Treatment, Clinical Trauma Treatment, and has advanced training in Perinatal Mental Health. Dr. Elizabeth specializes in walking with survivors of emotional (and narcissistic) abuse and antagonistic relationship stress through the stages of identifying patterns of abuse and neglect, healing, and moving forward in your life and relationships. She works with clients to overcome the impact of trauma - whether recent, developmental, or complex - in their lives. Dr. Elizabeth also supports women in the childbearing years (pregnancy and fertility issues, postpartum mental mood and anxiety, birth trauma).
Dr. Elizabeth’s work focuses on the importance of compassionate witness - from your therapist, and within yourself, decreasing the shame that painful experiences often create. She skillfully utilizes Internal Family Systems (IFS, an evidence-based therapy with similarities to EMDR) to help clients meet and heal the burdened, hurting parts of themselves. Dr. Elizabeth finds that her clients often benefit, too, from understanding how the brain and nervous system have been impacted by past experiences and relationships, and how this affects your emotional well-being and response style in the present. She understands the dynamics of therapy that lead to life change and brain change. She provides direction for nutritional and holistic considerations that may help support your mental health journey. Dr. Elizabeth focuses on the whole person, mind, body, and spirit.
About Dr. Elizabeth’s Philosophy of Care:
“Deep down, you are resilient, and in your struggles there waits an opportunity to grow stronger. Believing this, I offer counseling for a wide variety of issues including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma and abuse recovery, and postpartum/perinatal mental health. When you feel overwhelmed, I offer a safe, compassionate place to explore your feelings and experiences, and will collaborate with you to heal and build the skills to move forward in your life and relationships.
As a licensed Clinical Psychologist, I love working with clients to discover how past experiences might be preventing you from functioning optimally in the present. For those who desire Christian therapy, I offer counseling that integrates spiritual issues and works within your understanding of faith and Scripture. Biblical truths unlock the door to healing, especially when applied in harmony with psychological insights. I welcome clients of all backgrounds who hope to unlock the areas where they feel stuck!
